Dear Sir, I don't agree with the new recommendation to increase the permitted radiation dose limits for exposure from nuclear plants, from 0.3 mSv a year to 1 mSv a year. Based on the 1990-studies of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the ICRP should have lowered the permitted dose to 0.2 mSv. I urge you to not give into the lobbying from the nuclear businessmen. ICRP should base radiation exposure standards on independent and thorough scientific investigations, not on the pressure of the nuclear market place. For the time being, I want the ICRP to continue with the 0.3 mSv constraint limit for radiation exposures for the public. I urge you to reconsider the ICRP recommendations and to listen to the voice of those who really care for public health.
